Job Title: Back End Developer
Location: Pickering, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
Minimum requirements:
- 4+ years of experience with software backend or full stack development
- A degree in Computer Science or a variation that includes this field of study
- At least 3 years of experience with JSON, Java, Spring boot framework, REST API
- Applied experience with Data Science or Data Analytics
Job description:
- Implementation and/or update REST API controllers and methods in Groovy.
- Ability to transform complex business requirement into clean code base without hardcoding on the backend source code
- Coding with maintaining High performance of the APIs
- Familiarity with Drools rule engine
- Understand JSON schema based on business or integration requirement and apply proper API code to serialize or deserialize
- Fixing application defects in a timely fashion, test, and deploy it to remote environments.
- Debug application issues using a development IDE and find a proper fix to apply.
- Unit testing using a stable unit test library.
- Maintain Security side of the code
- Independent performer with strong sense of teamwork
- Monitor remote application environments and take actions if needed.
- Support UAT deployment with investigation, and team collaboration to resolve issues.
Good to have:
- Working with Docker container and GIT deployment yml.
- Familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript and its built-in functions.
- Familiar with ReactJS and have some frontend experience.
- Comfortable with data analysis and Postgres database.
Nice to have:
- AI experience.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$60.00
