Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance

Responsibilities:

QA Department Structure

Assess current QA team structure and roles

Recommend optimized organizational design
-
Define skill requirements and role responsibilities
QA Strategy & Roadmap
Develop a short-term and long-term QA roadmap
Align QA objectives with ITS goals
Identify key milestones, KPIs, and success metrics
Process Improvement
Evaluate current QA processes (manual and automated)
Recommend and help implement process improvements
Support adoption of industry best practices
Tooling & Automation
Review existing QA tools and automation coverage
Recommend improvements or tool changes if needed
Help define automation strategies and priorities
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Provide coaching or mentoring to QA leads and team members
Document frameworks and procedures for future scalability
Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or consulting role
-
Proven experience designing and implementing QA strategies in multi-line business environments.

Hands-on experience setting up QA functions from the ground up in organizations with limited QA maturity.

Experience working with hybrid QA models involving QA teams, business testers, and development teams.

Prior involvement in supporting the buildout of in-house development teams and aligning QA accordingly.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute QA roadmaps aligned with organization strategies.
Process & Methodology Skills:

Strong understanding of QA methodologies (manual and automated), test lifecycle management, and risk-based testing

Experience implementing QA best practices in Agile, Scrum, and/or DevOps environments

Knowledge of CI/CD practices, release management, and QA's role in continuous delivery pipelines
-
Ability to establish and monitor QA metrics, KPIs, and dashboards
Tooling & Technical Skills:
-
Familiarity with modern QA tools for test management

Experience selecting and implementing QA tools based on organization needs and maturity

Understanding of automation frameworks and ability to assess automation ROI
Soft Skills & Leadership

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Capable of mentoring and upskilling junior QA team members and business testers

Experience delivering QA strategy presentations to executive leadership
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$80.00
