O365 Solutions Architect
Our client in the public sector is seeking an Office 365 Solutions Architect to focus on strategy, planning, solutioning, rollout, and evolution of the Microsoft 365 platform tools and services, with a forward-looking approach to meet evolving business needs throughout the Client’s environment.
 
Duties
1.           Support and build the Microsoft 365 roadmap for Technology Services Group.
2.           Lead the design, implementation, rollout, and optimization of Microsoft 365 Toolset and solutions, with an initial focus on collaboration and SharePoint.
3.           Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for enterprise solutions, translating them into technical designs and architecture.
4.           Drive the evaluation, selection, and integration of tools and services to support business processes and workflows effectively.
5.           Drive the adoption and utilization of M365 tools across the organization through user training, change management initiatives, and ongoing support.
6.           Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle, including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
7.           Develop comprehensive solution architectures and design documents for solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
8.           Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment of enterprise solutions with overall business objectives and strategies.
9.           Leverage knowledge of business systems technologies to provide leadership in the identification and evaluation of technology options for business areas.
10.        Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues within applications, providing recommendations for long-term improvements.
11.        Evaluate business and technical design alternatives.
12.        Propose cost-effective solutions that improve program/service delivery.
13.        Establish use cases and traceability matrices based on interviews and requirements.
14.        Build metrics and reporting in support of CMO and FMO KPIs.
15.        Act as a subject matter expert on M365 technologies, providing guidance and support to stakeholders, Technology teams, and end-users on technical issues, best practices, and troubleshooting.
16.        Act as the bridge between Technology, Users, and Stakeholders, leading technical meetings and workshops as required to ensure technology solutions are meeting requirements.
17.        Deliver presentations to development teams and client audiences as required.
18.        Convey recommendations in clear non-technical terms.
19.        Create project reports, presentations, business cases, and systems documentation as required.
20.        Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices for Microsoft solutions, including architectural diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
21.        Provide input into RFC/RFI/RFP and negotiation of contracts if needed
22.        Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
23.        Quick to gain knowledge in new areas and become a productive contributor
 
Qualifications
1.           8+ years experience with implementation of Microsoft 365 including handson design, configuration, deployment, and optimization
2.           Extensive experience in enterprise solutions architecture, technical leadership, and implementation, with a customer-first approach 
3.           3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure AD, ADFS, Teams, EMS, PowerApps, Power
4.           Automate, SCCM, Intune, MFA, Cloud App Security, Advanced Compliance and other
5.           O365 cloud technologies is required”
6.           5+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft
7.           SharePoint is required”
8.           Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or ITIL Foundation are an asset; MCSA and/or MCSE certification in Microsoft Office 365 is preferred
9.           Solid understanding of enterprise IT delivery and cybersecurity principles
10.        Hands-on experience in Agile delivery, with successful large-scale rollouts of Microsoft 365 SaaS solutions, including data ingestion, integration, rolebased permissions, security, and change management
11.        Have designed and implemented configurations, customizations, and integrations to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency in Microsoft SaaS solutions.
12.        Collect, clarify and document technical and non-technical requirements and use cases
13.        Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
14.        Excellent collaboration and presentation skills are required
15.        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required 
4.0         Deliverables
This Office 365 Solutions Architect will support the M365 Technical Roadmap leading the activities to deliver applications and solutions under M365 platform on time, on budget and with expected quality.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$110.00
