Job Title: Electrical Process Engineer

Senior Engineer – Process Development & Program Costing (Robotics & Space Systems)
Our client, a leading organization in the space and robotics engineering sector, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in Brampton, Ontario. This position will focus on process development, engineering workflow improvement, and program cost estimation for complex space and robotics projects.
Overview
The selected individual will play a key role in supporting the electrical engineering function, helping to develop and refine processes across multiple technical disciplines while also contributing to the costing and estimation of new bids. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with analytical costing responsibilities in a dynamic, collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development

Develop and refine standardized procedures and documentation across engineering sub-disciplines

Lead small workgroups to establish process flows, document hierarchies, and supporting templates

Review technical documentation for consistency, accuracy, and overall quality

Track progress of process-related deliverables to ensure timely completion
Program Costing & Analysis

Build and maintain cost models using spreadsheet or database tools (including macros or similar automation methods)

Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams including software, mechanical, electrical, controls, and assurance

Support bid teams by estimating labour requirements based on comparable project data

Recommend process and methodology improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency in cost engineering practices
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Software, Systems, or related field)

8–10 years of experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Proficient with Excel, data modeling, and UI/database design concepts

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Capable of leading small groups and presenting findings to internal stakeholders

Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Familiarity with space systems or high-reliability environments considered an asset
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$65.00
