Role: SPM OneStream Solution Engineer

Summary
Our client is redefining Sales Performance Management by unifying Financial and Sales Planning on the OneStream platform. They’re seeking an SPM OneStream Solution Engineer who blends deep OneStream technical expertise with creativity to design and deliver compelling prototypes, demos, and proofs of concept.
This is a technical presales role focused on hands-on solution development, data modeling, and application build. The ideal candidate thrives on transforming abstract ideas into working solutions that bring our client’s unified Sales Performance vision to life.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Build interactive proof-of-concepts and demo applications on the OneStream platform that showcase our client’s unified planning and incentive management capabilities.
- Translate conceptual requirements into creative technical prototypes that illustrate how our client solves real customer challenges.
- Present and demonstrate proofs of concept to customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders to communicate solution value and technical approach.
- Manage and maintain demo assets to ensure a consistent, high-quality showcase of our client’s platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants, Product Managers, and Sales to support RFP responses, technical validations, and demos.
- Contribute to the development of reusable assets, templates, and enablement materials that accelerate the presales process.
- Participate in internal technical enablement sessions and contribute to solution design discussions that enhance the broader team’s capability.
Required Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a technical or solution engineering role such as consultant, presales specialist, or developer.
- Technical experience with OneStream or similar CPM tools.
- Experience working within a SaaS environment.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including data integration, security, and performance considerations.
- Experience with data modeling, cube design, and dashboard development within OneStream or equivalent enterprise performance management platforms.
- Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs and supporting technical validation processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and SQL data handling skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Working knowledge of Sales Performance Management (SPM) concepts, such as territory and quota planning, incentive compensation, and sales forecasting.
- Previous experience using or implementing Sales Performance Management (SPM) solutions from organizations such as OneStream, Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Varicent, Xactly, or similar is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing presales or consulting capacity, including presentations, workshops, and prototype walkthroughs.
- Ability to provide guidance in the evaluation of OneStream’s Cloud solution, including architecture, scalability, and extensibility.
- Strong listening, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to mixed technical and business audiences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comfortable with object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Proficient in SQL for data modeling and transformation.
- Creative, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
- Strong storytelling and visualization skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and sales teams.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$160,000 and CA$175,000
