Job Summary
As a Technical Manager of Merchandising Capabilities, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced pricing strategies and technical product delivery for our applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in Agile environments, and the ability to drive innovation through data analytics and automation. You will manage cross-functional technical teams, ensuring pricing models and features align with business objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Own the pricing and product strategy for our applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, data science, and product development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for pricing systems and delivery processes.
Technical Responsibilities
- Ensure technical alignment between squads and product objectives.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Analyze technical trade-offs and make informed decisions with engineering teams.
- Maintain robust documentation of technical requirements.
Product Management & Agile Delivery
- Define and execute product roadmaps with a strong technical focus.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Act as the primary technical authority for features within your portfolio.
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and ensure backlog prioritization for pricing and product deliverables.
- Oversee resolution of production issues and coordinate go-to-market strategies for feature releases.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6–8 years in technical product or pricing management roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and SAFe Agile certified
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Other Skills: Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$105,000 and CA$130,000
