The organization is expanding its workforce to support a major multi-year program that includes advanced training, infrastructure oversight, and integrated service delivery. Operations are managed from a centralized office with multiple regional locations across Canada.
Working in close collaboration with federal partners and several Canadian subcontractors, the organization delivers a range of services including live and simulated training, facility management, information systems support, operational services, and asset maintenance.

Job Overview
The Financial Analyst plays a key role in financial analysis, reporting, and operational support for a large, complex program. This role focuses on revenue recognition, financial risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to support contract reviews, audit activities, financial planning processes, and continuous monitoring of the organization’s financial performance.
Duties and Responsibilities

Review draft financial statements, conduct financial analysis, and prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations.

Perform earned value assessments and participate in project performance reviews.

Identify financial risks within projects and ensure appropriate revenue recognition.

Review contracts to identify clauses that may affect financial reporting or revenue treatment.

Develop and improve financial planning and analysis policies.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors, supporting audit requests, internal controls, and process integration in alignment with ERP systems.

Support the development of financial forecasts and annual operating, shared services, and capital budgets.

Provide short- and long-term financial performance analysis, including variance reporting and support for financial modelling.

Assist other finance team members and subcontractor finance teams with ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

Contribute to operating budget preparation and ongoing financial monitoring.

Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience as a Financial Analyst or in a financial management role within a large, complex organization.

CPA designation or active pursuit of the CPA is preferred.

Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and/or business intelligence tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

Solid business acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Experience working with federal government stakeholders is considered an asset.

Experience in highly regulated or complex operational sectors is an asset.

Ability to obtain relevant security clearances as required for the role.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Strong English communication skills; bilingualism is an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80,000 and CA$95,000
