Job Title: Business Partner- Data Products & Insights
Location: Toronto, ON (3-days onsite)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly gather business requirements and business value from key business clients.
- Work with the data engineering, data science and BI teams to translate business requirements into technical specs, effort and resource planning.
- Use Azure DevOps to enter Epics, Features and Users stories and oversee the completion of tasks by the appropriate resources.
- Actively prepare for daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively manage RAG status and backlogs to ensure a healthy delivery schedule.
- Track project progress, communicate risks or blockers, and resolve delivery issues.
- Build trust, adoption and satisfaction among clients and maintain strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively to identify opportunities to scale solutions using product management best practices.
- Contribute to the development of case studies that result from successful delivery of data pipelines, insights, dashboards and AI solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related
- Advanced degrees or specialized training in data management, product management, or customer success are a plus
Certifications (Recommended):
- Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) to validate agile delivery expertise.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP or other recognized certifications that demonstrate project management skills.
- Customer Success certifications (e.g., Certified Customer Success Manager – CCSM) to enhance client relationship management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics tools or platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, APO) are advantageous.
Soft Skills.
- Agile Delivery & Scrum: Experience in sprint planning, and iterative product releases.
- Project Management: Strong skills in resource planning, effort estimation, and milestone tracking. Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Service Now and PowerBI.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build strategic partnerships and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Data Product Knowledge: Understanding of data product lifecycle and delivery processes.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving blockers.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and cross-team collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement: Commitment to refining processes and delivery based on feedback and data insights.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$80.00
