Job Title: Construction Materials Test Technician – Day Shift

Location: Cedar Creek, TX (Onsite)

Estimated Duration: 6 Months

General Description: 
As a Technician, Level I you will assist in the performance of routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests. You will prepare and transport samples and reports, and perform non-technical functions and office tasks under close supervision of higher level technicians or supervisors.
 
Essential Tasks

  • Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt and other materials as directed.
  • Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks.
  • Transports equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
  • You will be expected to retain the information shown and explained to you so that you may become a self sufficient employee and continue to grow with our company.
  • Support our client's quality policies and procedures; maintain the quality of your work and the quality of our client in the highest regard with each task you perform.
  • Adhere to our client's safety policies and procedures and encourage the improvement of these policies by your participation in near miss and safety audit programs.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary
  • Ability to lift 10 – 60 lbs. and work outside for extended periods of time
  • Capacity to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to work weekends as needed

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $17.00 and $25.00
