Job Title: Quality Assistant

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Estimated Duration: 3 Months

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Perform dimensional inspections on simple to complex machined components using various hand measuring tools such as:
– OD, ID, Blade Mics
– Gagemaker thread inspection equipment (Rolls, JSS, MRP)
– Dial and Spring Clippers
– Gage pins & blocks
– Optical Comparator
– Faro Arm experience is a plus
– Perform first article and spot inspection in the machine shop
– Review vendor COC, MTRs, and datasheets for component acceptance.
– Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
– Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts with engineering and buyers
– Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
– Work with Engineers and other employees in outside areas to support inspection needs
– Move palletized parts to and from the inspection area as needed
– Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– 5 years of related experience required.
– Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
– Must be proficient with mechanical inspection tools and techniques.
– Must have working knowledge of computer software, including but not limited to:
– Microsoft Outlook
– Microsoft Excel
– Microsoft Word
– Microsoft Teams is a plus
– Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
– Able to perform physically demanding work:
– Standing
– Bending
– Lifting 25 lbs regularly

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $28.00 and $28.00
