JOB TITLE: Advisor, Accounts – Inside Sales
LOCATION: North York, Ontario (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6-12 Months
Hybrid (but first 60 days 100% on-site)
Up to 15% travel to offsite meetings within Ontario
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Advisor operates as a key point of contact between a Confidential Utility Client and its large-volume distribution contract-rate customers. The role is primarily responsible for supporting the Large Commercial & Industrial business development team in developing, maintaining, and growing positive relationships with customers and internal partners.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for growth of business development relationships with large-volume commercial & industrial customers across several sectors in Ontario.

Apply sales excellence and best practices in relationship management with internal stakeholders to deliver valuable customer interactions and incremental revenue.

Proactively lead customer load quotation activities from project initiation, internal coordination, and customer communication through to timely in-service dates.

Negotiate new services via commercial agreements with customers, including distribution contracts, confidentiality agreements, indemnification agreements, etc.

Provide key market knowledge, customer insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior leaders and internal stakeholders on complex matters.

Directly contribute to strategy, growth, and financial planning for the Industrial Market Development division.
Job Qualifications:

Post-secondary education, preferably in business, engineering, or economics.

Four or more years of sales or business development experience in energy, utilities, or a related field.

Proven communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.

Understanding of regulatory environments, operational activity, finance, sales acumen, and growth strategies is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:

Normal office working conditions.

Stress levels may be above normal at times as the work is highly visible.

Numerous, often competing interests must be managed concurrently while negotiating and influencing.

Up to 15% travel time may be required to regional offices and customer locations across Ontario; may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

In-person attendance required at North York office.

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, including 9am–4pm core hours.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$25.00 and CA$30.00
