Job Title: Senior QA Project Manager

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Remote)

Estimated Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, executing, and managing project plans, following agile methodology, practices, and ceremonies (program increment planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives), based on direction and priorities established by program sponsors and stream leads.

  • Managing the testing schedule, milestones, deliverables, and action items for projects.

  • Organizing and overseeing the release of key deliverables for acceptor and/or approvers.

  • Deploying and managing the appropriate framework to meet the testing mandate

  • Creating, deploying, maintaining and adapting solid test processes in a fast-paced environment

  • Driving technical quality assurance efforts, including user acceptance, regression, and integration testing) Liaising proactively with the business, production support, information technology, and project teams

  • Performing detailed test analysis and writing test plans and cases to industry standards

  • Managing and coordinating activities to ensure tasks are executed according to the plan and objectives.

  • Leading project discussions and participating as an active member of the project team.

  • Understanding the nature of work performed by the project and provides recommendations on best practices to plan and execute to meet expected timelines and quality deliverables.

  • Logging, maintaining, and escalating raaidd (risks, actions, assumptions, issues, decisions, dependencies) on behalf of the project using the project software tool, Azure DevOps. Following up and acting as required.

  • Managing statements of work and tracking vendor deliverables to ensure scope, timelines, and contractual commitments are met.

  • Facilitating daily and weekly agile ceremonies for the project.

  • Attending governance forums and providing updates on behalf of the project, including risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.

  • Proactively identifies and manages interdependencies and constraints between streams to reduce delivery risk.

  • Ensuring the appropriate governance structure is maintained on the project.

  • Contributing to defining and assessing project success and readiness criterion factors and measurements.

  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with the program management team to ensure consistency among streams and leverage best practices to ensure overall project delivery and success.

  • Working closely to resolve conflicts and competing priorities between streams

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science or equivalent

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification or designation.

  • Quality Assurance certifications, such as Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ).

  • 10 years of related experience, of which three (3) should be in a senior quality assurance project manager role in an enterprise n-tier system environment with a mix of custom, packaged, and configured applications

  • Strong understanding of test management, reporting, and
    Behavior-driven development automation tools are used for
    maintaining and tracking test cases and results, including
    Azure DevOps (ADO), Allure, SpecFlow, ReqnRoll, and
    similar quality assurance platforms.

  • Strong leadership skills to motivate a diverse workforce
    group and/or project team.

  • Advanced skills in managing multiple, parallel projects or
    multiple streams of work on a very large project.

  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills to alignbusiness and technology planning.

  • Superior technical and interpersonal communication
    skills to present information effectively to various audiences.

  • Strong time management skills to set priorities with the
    primary goal of completing assignments on time while
    being flexible and adaptable to changing deadlines and
    business demands.

  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software, including Visio,
    SharePoint and MS Project.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$105.00
