Job Title: Quality Data Management Technician

Location: North Vancouver, BC (Onsite)

Description
The Quality Data Management Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining the Quality Department databases, which includes Quality Assurance, Quality and Accuracy Control, Ship Acceptance and Weld Engineering. The position supports the Quality Data Analyst by compiling and coordinating Quality documents for distribution and implementation. The position will also prepare reports of relevant Quality data and documenting data management processes.

Duties/Accountabilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of Quality databases and support the migration of data as required.
  • Organizes and administers Quality databases.
  • Supports internal process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare/ maintain/update various data, documents, files and project information for recording and distribution to related departments.
  • Supports Quality Data Analyst in producing metric reporting and managing existing dashboards.
  • Prepare Weekly and Monthly Quality Management Reports under Department Manager supervision.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • College diploma supplemented by have advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in data management roles for at least 1 to 3 years.
  • Experience in supporting the development of new databases and the migration of data from previous systems.
  • Experience managing comprehensive data records.
  • Experience working in Quality Control or Quality Assurance is preferred.
  • Experience with project management is an asset.

Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Good knowledge of quality management practices highly desirable
  • Strong organization skills – ability to plan and organize work independently.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and close attention to details. Able to spot check and review data sets for integrity/accuracy

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$37.00 and CA$51.00
