Our client is responsible for some of the most technologically significant hardware currently operating in low-Earth orbit and is actively developing the next generation of planetary exploration vehicles.
In this role, you will be part of a high-integrity engineering team tasked with designing the critical electrical architectures that power robotic systems for orbital maintenance, lunar exploration, and deep-space research.
Core Responsibilities
As a specialist in Cable Harness Design, you will handle the full lifecycle of electrical interconnect systems for extreme environments:
-
Design & Layout: Create sophisticated 2D assembly drawings and wiring schematics for both space-flight hardware and high-reliability terrestrial support systems.
-
System Architecture: Develop and document robust Power, Grounding, and Bonding architectures at the system level.
-
Engineering Analysis: Perform essential electrical stress and performance analyses, including Voltage Drop, Signal Integrity, Cross-talk, and EMI/EMC.
-
Environmental Hardening: Design interconnects to survive the rigors of launch and space, specifically addressing vacuum (TVAC), thermal cycling, vibration, and radiation effects (FMEA/SEE).
-
Manufacturing Support: Produce detailed parts lists and provide technical oversight to the assembly teams during the production and integration phases.
Candidate Profile
