Job Description:

The Sr Compliance Technology Manager will be responsible for integrating Regulatory Compliance requirements into the broader IT organization. This role ensures that all regulatory requirements are understood, and compliance activities are seamlessly integrated across all IT functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT regulatory compliance, risk management, and technology governance, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of regulatory compliance processes into the broader IT organization for BAU activity.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance gaps or vulnerabilities within the organization's IT infrastructure and system
  • Collaborating with IT teams to implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance
  • Monitoring and reporting on compliance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and risk assessments to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Staying up to date with emerging regulations, industry trends, and best practices in IT compliance and risk management
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into IT strategies and operations
  • Work closely with 2nd Line Compliance and other stakeholders to interpret regulations and ensure compliance obligations are met.
  • Ensure requirement changes are reflected in IT processes, standards, and controls documentation.
  • Promote a proactive first-line compliance mindset within the IT organization.

Key skills

  • 5–7+ years of experience in IT regulatory compliance, IT risk, IT audit, or technology governance.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulatory requirements as they apply to technology (e.g., operational resilience, outsourcing/third party, data management, privacy, records retention, change management).
  • Experience implementing regulatory processes into technology.
  • Ability to translate regulatory language into IT processes and technical requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Influence stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT management with a focus on regulatory compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in creating technical documentation and process mapping
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$81,000 and CA$131,000
