Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 9 Months

Any specific tools/skillset:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management, leading software implementations.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing projects involving integrations, data migration, or complex technical landscapes.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing project teams, providing coaching and /or feedback to resources.
  • Superior ability to manage stakeholder relationships and provide excellent leaderships skills
  • Strong presentation skills and meeting facilitation; displays confidence and poise in formal speaking situations; create effective and compelling presentations; keeps meetings clearly focused on the agenda.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities/tight deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment; ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to translate complex technical subject matter in business terms for executive audiences, succinctly and professionally.

Desired qualifications:

  • PMP certified
  • Experience with SAP cloud and on premise or business/transformation initiatives
  • Experience with different PM planning tools

Role profile description:

Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in providing delivery excellence and leadership on projects within the Portfolio. Working front line with our business partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, this role is highly visible and collaborative to deliver initiatives on time and within budget. This is a senior professional role that combines strong Project Management, Business Relationship and Change Management skills.

What you will do:
 

  • Accountable for ensuring the successful end to end delivery of projects within our internal IT application and project delivery frameworks.
  • Sets up projects, resources, financials and schedule, proactively flagging variances that may jeopardize delivery.
  • Works effectively with limited supervision across external parties, cross-organization stakeholders and business partners to keep the project team on track, motivated and engaged.
  • Develops detailed project plans, stakeholder matrix, RAID logs, cut over plans and financial summaries.
  • Work with third party vendors to develop integrated project plans, ensuring vendors meet deliverables on schedule and budget.
  • Proactively works to resolve issues and remove roadblocks across project teams, proactively identifies potential issues before negatively impacting the project.
  • Confidently leads and facilitates project meetings/scrums ensuring a high degree of communication and documentation are provided; meeting materials, distribute meeting minutes, update program scorecards.
  • Develops presentations and dashboards for a variety of audiences (Executives, Operations, Core Teams, etc.) to show schedule, financials and resources consumption (e.g. Burn Rates, slippage, etc.)
  • Conducts post implementation reviews.
  • Efficiently communicates to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
  • Ensures project documentation is up to date for all Business and technology documents (kick off, Charters, change management, implementation/cut over plans, decommissioning activities etc.).
  • Manages IT risk by ensuring consistency with company methodologies, IT cyber and risk controls, standards and financial reporting
  • Working with internal security, risk and compliance to ensure the necessary assessments are created, reviewed, and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures projects are setup and tracked in our internal system monitoring resource usage against budget allocations.
  • Develops initial project budget and ensures proper mechanisms are in place to manage project change and associated costs proactively.
  • Identifies and documents scope changes for change request documentation and approval management.
  • Proactively participates and attends internal community of practice events and sessions.
  • Be adaptable to the change and be Change Champion!
  • Maintains professional certifications.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$105.00
