Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Toronto, ON (In-Person)

Estimated Duration: 4 Months

 

Our team is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Document Controller to join a high-energy engineering environment. This role handles everything from day-to-day administrative tasks to high-level documentation strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Standardization: Align client-specific submittal protocols with internal company practices to ensure full team compliance and consistency.

  • System Management: Utilize PDM software (specifically Teamcenter) to manage document sign-offs, set up project structures, and track planned parts.

  • Transmittals: Manage the formal recording and distribution of all incoming and outgoing project documentation.

  • Quality Assurance: Audit Microsoft Word and Excel files to ensure they meet strict revision standards and project templates; manage PDF creation with tracked changes as required.

  • User Support: Act as the subject matter expert to help internal teams navigate PDM tools and document workflows.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Software Expertise: Mastery of Aconex, Unifier, ProjectWise, and SharePoint is essential.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word formatting).

  • Process Focus: Strong ability to implement lessons learned and maintain organized, process-oriented workflows.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to collaborating with cross-functional departments.

Requirements

  • Education: A 2-year degree in a business-related field is preferred.

  • Clearance: Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

  • Language: Professional fluency in English.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$40.00
