Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Reports To: Agile Coach, Agile Acceleration
Job Summary:
The Scrum Master (SM) / Team Coach is a servant leader and catalyst for team performance, enabling the Agile Squad(s) to deliver value effectively. The SM facilitates squad-level processes and execution, drives relentless improvement, removes impediments, and fosters a culture of agility and collaboration. The Scrum Master is accountable for embedding and evolving Agile practices (e.g., SAFe).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for consistency and reinforcement of proven practices of an Agile squad (e.g., rules of Built-In Quality practices, Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, monitoring flow metrics, etc.).
- Facilitate squad events (Team Sync, Planning, Refinement, Review, and Retrospective) to ensure they achieve intended outcomes, remain efficient, and are kept within timeboxes.
- Support the squad in identifying and eliminating impediments to improve flow and maximize value delivery.
- Take proactive measures to help the team become more predictable in delivery.
- Facilitate and support the squad in preparing for PI planning activities, including PI/BRP Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt (I&A).
- Owns squad-level progress reporting against agreed KPIs and shares insights with management as defined.
- Help the squad navigate interpersonal conflicts, overcome challenges, and identify opportunities for growth and development.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support the Product Owner/Manager/Counterpart in managing the backlog, guiding the team, and fostering a healthy team dynamic around priorities and scope.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to enable the team to enhance overall value delivery.
- Support and drive PI planning readiness to ensure the squad is fully prepared for effective planning and delivery.
- Provide input into innovation pilots by tracking performance outcomes and lessons learned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Team Coach, or equivalent role in an Agile delivery environment
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and delivery flow metrics.
- Proven facilitation skills with the ability to guide diverse teams through change and improvement.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, Delivery Central, Power BI, SharePoint, Lucid, ServiceNow).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated servant leadership mindset with a focus on enabling teams to achieve outcomes.
- Growth mindset with curiosity for continuous learning, innovation, and evolving Agile practices.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$85.00
