Job Title: Organizational Change Manager – Specialist

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 24 Months

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Apply expert OCM knowledge to prepare and deliver change management assessments, plans and activities for complex, enterprise-wide programs and initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups and levels of the organization including senior leadership

 

  • Follow the organizations change management methodology and framework; utilize available tools and services to implement a structured best fit change approach within a program or initiative, with customizations where appropriate

 

  • Complete and assess detailed readiness, change impact, and stakeholder analyses

 

  • Develop the OCM strategy including communication, sponsor roadmap, learning, coaching, management of risk and issues and acceptance/resistance

 

  • Implement the required communication, learning, and other change management activities (as required, based on project scope and resourcing model)

 

  • May be required to prepare key stakeholders to present OCM deliverables such as communications and presentations or learning

 

  • Works with related Human Resource teams including the centralized Change Management Office, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Management, Learning and Development, to develop and deliver holistic/integrated OCM solutions, including:

 

  • Accurate change impact and stakeholder analysis

 

  • Appropriate communication and learning approaches

 

  • Effective transition management

 

  • Effective risk management/mitigation

 

  • Support for leaders in leading through change

 

  • Consult with leaders at all levels to gain sponsorship, approval and engagement of the business and the affected key audiences in executing the change management strategy

 

  • Provide coaching in change management, resistance management and change sponsorship to the project manager, business lead, change sponsor, project team, the extended -change team, and others identified through stakeholder assessment

 

  • Continuously assess potential issues/risks, conflicting priorities, and opportunities for integration across multiple concurrent programs/initiatives, and raise these to leadership

 

  • Evaluate the success of change management activities and provide progress reports to key stakeholders as required

 

  • Monitor change adoption in the organization and plan additional OCM activities to support gaps in adoption or continued realization of change benefits

 

  • Facilitate and guide senior leaders and business process owners on long term sustainment to operationalize and embed changes

 

  • Support the objectives of the centralized Change Management Office through:

 

  • Sharing of expertise and best practices

 

  • Adoption of corporate OCM, communications and learning standards

 

  • Contribution to the continual improvement of the corporate OCM methodology and tools

 

  • Active participation in the broader OCM community of practice

 

  • Championing the role of the OCM function.

 
Education:
 

  • University degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness or Development or related field

 

  • Master’s degree in a related field considered an asset

 

  • Prosci and/or other change management certification/professional designation is preferred

 

  • Must demonstrate continuing education/development to remain current in the profession

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$125.00
