Role Title: Senior Solution Architect
Role Profile:
Reporting to the Director. the successful talent will put the customer at the centre of everything they do, drive business value, and demonstrate this in their work. As the Solutions Architect, you are a thought leader that works with your peers and owns the architectural vision for your Product area. You will develop the strategies and roadmaps that enable project delivery and application support. You value simplicity, evaluate solution option trade-offs and are unafraid to test technical constraints or business assumptions to achieve the right solution. You lead and work closely with all team members and will play an integral role in solution scoping and design with a focus on CX, EX, security, scalability and ROI (return on investment).
What you will do
- Lead end?to?end architectural analysis across multiple delivery teams to ensure alignment to a unified solution strategy.
- Translate business, security, and technical requirements into clear architectural direction and high?quality end?to?end solution designs.
- Own architectural decisions and guide the technical vision to achieve business and customer outcomes.
- Identify architectural gaps, risks, and dependencies across teams and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure consistent application of enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and capabilities across platforms.
- Follow architecture governance processes and collaborate with Enterprise Architects to prepare artifacts for review and approval by the Architecture Council.
- Act as a trusted technology advisor to Product Owners, Architecture, and Program Leadership.
- Support roadmap planning, sequencing, and scope definition for complex, multi?year transformation initiatives.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to technical teams and support developers on complex design or integration challenges.
- Contribute to early?stage technology research, prototyping, and evaluation of emerging tools and approaches.
What you will bring
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in complex enterprise IT environments.
- Deep expertise in end?to?end solution architecture, including complex integrations, API design, and modern application patterns.
- Strong ability to translate business, security, and technical requirements into clear architectural direction and high-quality solution designs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder?management skills, with the ability to articulate concepts, trade-offs, risks, and feasibility to both technical and business audiences.
- Proven experience identifying architectural risks, dependencies, and gaps, and driving alignment across cross?functional and geographically distributed teams.
- A self?starter mindset with the ability to lead through ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and provide thought leadership.
- Commitment to continuous learning, emerging technology evaluation, and fostering a high?performance, collaborative culture.
Assets:
- Experience working in the financial services sector or other complex, highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles, with hands?on exposure to agile delivery environments.
- Background in business process modernization, including process analysis and transformation initiatives with understanding of BPMN and DMN modeling standards.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of modern omni?channel architectures and customer interaction platforms.
- Exposure to workflow and content management platforms (e.g., Appian, IBM CP4BA/FileNet).
- Development experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, and modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, JavaScript, SQL, .NET, APIs).
- Experience developing target?state architectures and roadmaps for multi?year programs.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, FLMI Level 1, ITIL, or Scrum/Agile are considered an asset.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$105.00
