Job Description—IT Project Manager
Summary:
The IT project manager is responsible for applying project management methodologies throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. This includes project design, scope management, cost control, quality assurance, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
- Manage project resources, including procuring staff, motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
- Collaborate with functional project teams to define business requirements.
- Lead development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
- Define and oversee test plans to ensure products are defect-free prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Facilitate UAT processes and develop rollout plans and procedures.
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to systems development and project management best practices.
- Present updates and recommendations to steering committees or project sponsors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- PMP or PMI certification required.
- 5–7 years of proven project management experience.
- Strong people management and team-building skills.
- Ability to adapt and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Quick learner of business processes and effective collaborator with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong risk assessment and management skills for technology applications and business functions.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large-scale, multi-platform environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$74.00 and CA$84.00
