Description
Key Responsibilities:
IT Asset Management (ITAM)

  • Manage and track IT hardware and software assets using ServiceNow HAM Pro & SAM Pro.
  • Ensure asset lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposal) are followed effectively.
  • Maintain asset compliance, optimize license usage, and prevent over-purchasing.

Configuration Management (CMDB):

  • Maintain and improve the accuracy and completeness of the ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Ensure Configuration Items (CIs) are properly associated with assets.
  • Implement best practices for CMDB governance and data integrity.

Service Mapping & Discovery:

  • Work with IT teams to ensure accurate service mapping of applications, infrastructure, and dependencies.
  • Utilize ServiceNow Discovery tools to automate asset discovery and improve visibility.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure IT asset and configuration processes comply with company policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19770, ITIL, SAM best practices).
  • Support audits and reporting requirements related to IT assets and software licenses.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, finance, and procurement.
  • Provide training and guidance on asset management best practices.

Required Skills:
Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CMDB).
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro.
  • Exposure to Service Mapping and Discovery tools in ServiceNow.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, and Service Mapping capabilities.
  • Familiarity with software licensing models, compliance, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.

Desired Skills:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – HAM / SAM.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based asset management.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$51.00 and CA$61.00
