Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst
Location: Winnipeg, MB or Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- The SAN is responsible for leading the effective application of technology to business problems and opportunities. The SAN works closely with the Systems Architect, Developers, and Business Representatives to create the solution design documentation. Activities performed in the role include:
- Define and maintain systems analysis & design deliverables
- Investigate business problem/opportunity and perform impact analysis & SQL queries on DB
- Follow the Release Checklist & timelines per team delivery milestones
- Participate and contribute to design work in ICM with the partnered Developer to deliver technology solutions for business partners
- Ownership over end-to-end delivery of assigned functional change, as per assigned projects
- Make meaningful contributions to design, configure, test, and implement Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM), as well as SAP solution components (per architecture)
- Provide UAT test phase support related to owned deliverables
- Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure the successful completion of deliverables
- Adapt communication appropriately with business sponsors, leaders, and the project team
Qualifications:
- Knowledge/Experience in all phases of the project life cycle.
- Demonstrated superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with database table design, maintenance, writing complex SQL queries, and procedures. Hands-on experience with large datasets in the investment/insurance industry.
- Demonstrate ability to follow best practices as defined by development and vendor teams.
- Ability to produce clear & concise documentation per IG standards (delivery framework)
- Req/Design should leverage team SMEs and peers and follow a collaborative and iterative process.
- Ability to learn and relate to business processes/knowledge in Analysis deliverables;
- Has an advanced understanding of methodologies, tools, processes, and practices about Business Analysis, Systems Development Life Cycle Methodology, and process diagram tools.
- Applies technology concepts to business processes and can assess the impact on the function/system.
- Can challenge the technical team on design issues to ensure business needs are being met.
- Expresses ideas clearly, asks open-ended questions, and reiterates to ensure understanding
- Adaptability & Teamwork – allocates time effectively and can meet deadlines; multitasks in a calm and organized manner.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$95.00
