Job Title: Full Stack Developer (.Net/Angular)
Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months

Full Stack Web Application Developer

Our client is the largest independent processor of bill payments in Canada and they are expanding. We are seeking to attract bright, talented, and energetic Full Stack Web Application Developer for our Winnipeg location to assist in the development of new products and the growth of our business across Canada.

You will be part of a dynamic, agile Product Management team working closely with Customers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Development Engineers. We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking to become a key role in the design, development, testing and maintenance of Web applications. You will be responsible in helping the business to become more efficient and to provide better service to its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Full life-cycle of software development process analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance
  • Translate business objectives into solutions
  • Develop functional, appealing, and responsive web applications based on requirements and industry best practices
  • Develop web applications using HTML5, CSS 3, JQuery and JSON in the Angular framework
  • Develop various web services like Web API's using both SOAP and REST architectures
  • Participate in architectural review and design
  • Presenting ideas for system improvements for new or existing solutions
  • Perform maintenance and enhancement activities on existing web applications
  • Perform presentation and service layer development, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Productive in both team-based and self-managed projects
  • Report directly to the Vice President Systems
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Desired Experience (in order of importance)

The technologies listed are most desired; however, equivalent experience in the similar technology area would be considered.
 

  • 1 – 5 years building and/or enhancing ASP.Net Core applications
  • 1 – 5 years creating and/or enhancing web services, specifically REST web services
  • 1 – 5 years developing front-end UI components using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular,  Typescript and Bootstrap
  • 1 – 5 years C# programming language
  • UI design and/or UX design
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Object-oriented design and MVC architectural pattern
  • Understanding of relational database design and SQL queries
  • Unit testing
  • End-to-end browser testing (Selenium, Protractor)
  • Familiarity with build automation tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Familiarity with source control tools (git, Stash)
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker (Images, containers, Services, etc…)
  • Experience in Financial Industry is an Asset

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$90.00
