1.0       Description of Assignment
Our client is looking for a Quality Analyst/ Tester for their SAP program. The Analyst/ Tester is responsible for the co-ordination and execution of QA strategies and plans on IT projects to ensure delivery of quality business solutions for IT customers with the focus on QA audits and quality inspections.  
The analyst/ tester co-ordinates the Quality Assurance (QA) function on IT applications, technologies and IT processes in accordance with established departmental methodology.  This involves:
  • ensuring the QA strategy and approach that is set out by the client is adhered to;
  • development of QA plans for IT processes, capital projects and operating initiatives.
  • reviewing all project documentation (charters, plans and schedules) to ensure that solution delivery approach is aligned and effectively encompasses the scope of the project; and reflect the solution architecture and business requirements;
  • reviewing all process documentation to identify areas for improvement and flag all possible risks;
  • scheduling of QA activities to ensure that quality audits and inspections are conducted in accordance with established project complexity, process complexity or system criticality;

This is a hybrid role (2 to 3 days a week in the office) based at Union Station, 61 Front Street, Toronto
2.0       Skills and Certifications
Mandatory skills/ certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in SAP Time and Attendance.
  • Experience with SAP testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Tricentis) is an asset.

Other skills/ Certifications:

  • CBAP or equivalent is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • QA certifications/ITIL is an asset
  • Strong understanding of time management processes, payroll integration, and labor compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Public Service and Transit experience is an asset
3.0       Assignment Duties
As a SAP QA Analyst/ Tester, you will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Prepare and maintain associated project documentation as necessary;
  • Development of test scripts for IT capital SAP projects.
  • Executing test scripts
  • Recording defects and follow-up
  • Retest fixed defects
  • Facilitate UAT
  • Facilitate no-functional and regression testing
  • Reviewing  Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) to ensure test cases are identified and covering the approved solution architecture and business requirements;
  • Reviewing reported defects to ensure they are fixed, retested, and closed;
  • Assist with SAP End-User Training to all relevant stakeholders
  • Other project duties as assigned.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$65.00 and CA$80.00
