Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Managing the full project lifecycle delivery with ownership of scope management, schedule management, and budget control.
- Leading the creation and management of integrated project plans, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive predictable, on-time outcomes.
- Forecasting financial and budget performance management, including forecast development, budget tracking, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support accurate planning and informed governance decisions.
- Providing project management leadership and assurance through governance reviews, compliance and performance audits, and expert advisory support to ensure consistent application of Major Program delivery frameworks, controls, and standards.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives by partnering with program leads to embed industry best practices, evaluate effectiveness through lessons learned and performance insights, and enhance program delivery and governance maturity.
- Collaborating with Major Programs Delivery admin team, program resources, and external service providers to track and capture acceptance of contractual milestones to provide most value to the program and by tying deliverables acceptance to the release of program funds.
- Leading end-to-end Change and Decision Request (CR/DR) tracking and management, ensuring governance, impact analysis, timely approvals, and transparent decision-making.
- Managing priorities and workload in response to evolving program demands, risks, and delivery requirements, applying professional judgement to ensure timely, value-driven outcomes.
- Conducting regular audits of RAAIDD (Risks, Actions, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions, and Dependencies) artifacts across programs, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and driving corrective actions where gaps are identified.
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in delivering large scale technology projects, leading project and program control functions across complex initiatives, including end-to-end planning and execution, advanced financial forecasting, budget and cost management, and performance analysis, with a demonstrated ability to establish and continuously improve governance, reporting, and controls that enable early variance identification and support executive decision-making.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, designation, or equivalent.
- Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).
- Advanced experience in financial forecasting, budget management, and cost control for large-scale programs.
- Experience working within SAFe Agile or Agile delivery models, with the ability to partner effectively with delivery teams and leadership.
- Experience working in a large, regulated, or public-sector organization.
- Supplementary courses related to Project Management i.e. Risk Management, Project forecasting and budgeting, and Agile Project Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Analysis, Finance, Engineering or related discipline.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$95.00
