Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop a deep understanding and become the subject matter expert for Total Shareholder Return (TSR), as well as valuation and performance metrics for CTC and its peer group. 
  • Monitor and regularly update the Total Shareholder Return model to ensure it effectively supports decision-making processes. 
  • Conduct detailed analyses related to potential acquisitions, partnerships, strategic projects, and other investment initiatives, evaluating their impact on value creation and various financial metrics. 
  • Collaborate with business units and other corporate groups—including FP&A, Treasury, Strategy, Corporate Development, and other Finance departments—to consolidate financials and summarize performance metrics for business opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions into meaningful analysis. 
  • Periodically estimate hurdle rates and impairment Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) relevant to the business. 
  • Collect and analyse market data, peer group data, and macroeconomic data. 
  • Support capital allocation planning, including capital expenditures (capex), dividends, and share repurchases, as needed. 
  • Develop financial models that underpin analysis and support informed decision-making. 
  • Contribute to developing CTC’s Outlook projections, improving long-range financial projection capabilities, including scenario modelling. 
  • Periodically assist corporate planning teams in preparing monthly and quarterly reporting, strategic plans, and forecasts. 
  • Create and update PowerPoint presentations and communications for the Executive Team, CFO, and Board of Directors. 
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as required by Senior Management to support decision-making. 

 
Qualifications 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related discipline. 
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in forecasting and financial modelling. 
  • At least two years of business experience in an analytical field, with a solid understanding of financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. 
  • Strong knowledge of valuation and capital budgeting techniques. 
  • Professional designation (CFA, CPA, MBA) is considered an asset. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills 
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data. 
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and data visualisation. 
  • Working knowledge of systems such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or Hyperion is considered an asset. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and meet tight deadlines.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$65,000 and CA$80,000
