Senior Network Security Architect
Hours: 7.25 per day
Hybrid, 3 days on site per week, Toronto
12 months, extendable.
The Sr. Technology Architect will provide the capacity required to deliver on the Cloud Access Security Platforms & Proactive Risk Management pillars of the Cyber Security Strategy.
In this role the resource will:
• Provide lead architecture and strategy guidance for the Client SSE and network security modernization projects. This includes assisting with the implementation and support of SSE technology platforms across multiple environments and varying OS types
• Possess strong knowledge of MITRE and SSE development and configuration.
• Provide operational support, deployment coordination, change management, and documentation of new and existing SASE security technologies.
• Work effectively with other Security teams and external partners to assist in engineering and supporting SASE platforms that align with organizational and strategic goals. Work with vendors of supported products to report issues, assist with research and manage until resolved.
• Create documentation to ensure appropriate operational process and procedures are followed in the event of business impacting incidents or issues.
• Provide integration support and development effort on design related changes or introduction of new business requirements to network-security related technology platforms.
• Develop, recommend, implement and manage the technical architecture (hardware, software, database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.
• Be responsible for the identification of relevant information and the determination of the environment, which will be used for development.
• Be responsible for the engineering and operational support for Client network-security focused projects. This includes assisting with implementation and continued improvements on the following technology platforms:
o Palo Alto Prisma Access
o Radware Web Application Firewall (WAF)
o Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
• Provide integration support and development effort on design related changes or introduction of new business requirements to network-security related technology platforms.
General Skills:
- Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical security architectures at the specified experience level
Extensive experience with enterprise security services, Identity and database technologies, and network access protocols
Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of cloud applications
Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large secure solution environments
Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL and is able to guide others using this methodology
Experience translating business requirements into solution needs
Experience preparing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data models
Experience developing, recommending, implementing and managing technical security architecture
Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management security principles, concepts, policies and practices.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$125.00
