Business Analyst / Audit Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Onsite 3x/week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Business Analyst / Audit Analyst to support a fast-paced enterprise initiative for a client. This role will primarily focus on audit- and compliance-related activities, with the opportunity to expand into broader Business Analyst responsibilities over time.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit, compliance, and traceability documentation within enterprise financial environments. They will play a key role in reviewing and organizing RPS documentation, improving SharePoint documentation standards, supporting re-audit activities, and ensuring end-to-end traceability across requirements and supporting artifacts.
This individual must be highly organized, proactive, and capable of working cross-functionally with Business Analysts, project teams, and leadership stakeholders to ensure documentation standards are aligned and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and clean up RPS documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance alignment
  • Support re-audit activities, including preparation of final audit reports and supporting documentation
  • Manage and improve documentation traceability across requirements, controls, and supporting artifacts
  • Ensure all requirements maintain proper traceability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Organize and optimize SharePoint documentation repositories and governance standards
  • Partner with Business Analysts and project stakeholders to understand and enforce documentation standards and best practices
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and audit risks within existing documentation
  • Support Agile delivery teams by participating in ceremonies and documentation processes
  • Work within a fast-paced enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Provide leadership and guidance around documentation governance and traceability best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Audit Analysis, Compliance, or related roles
  • Strong experience with audit, compliance, and traceability documentation
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level initiatives within large organizations
  • Financial services or banking industry experience required
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and Agile delivery teams
  • Experience using Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of documentation governance and requirement traceability
  • Experience managing or organizing SharePoint documentation repositories
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting re-audit or regulatory remediation initiatives
  • Ability to flex between Audit Analyst and Business Analyst responsibilities
  • Experience working closely with enterprise PMO or governance teams
  • Familiarity with enterprise documentation standards and control frameworks

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $55.00 and $70.00
