Job Title: Fabric Data Engineer

Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 6 Months

We’re seeking a Data Engineer to develop and optimize data workflows that extract, cleanse, and transform large volumes of information from multiple platforms. This role involves unifying complex datasets, improving data quality, and streamlining ingestion and transformation processes to enable faster, more reliable insights for analytics, AI, and ML initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain data workflows.

  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

  • Write efficient Python scripts for data processing and automation.

  • Manage and transform raw data into structured formats for analytics and reporting.

  • Work with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL DB).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions.

  • Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across all pipelines.

  • Document data workflows, schemas, and operational processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in data engineering or related roles.

  • Proficiency in SQL (querying, optimization, stored procedures).

  • Strong Python programming skills (Pandas, PySpark, or equivalent libraries).

  • Hands-on experience building and managing workflows.

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services (ADLS, Azure Synapse, ADF).

  • Basic understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug data pipelines.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$55.00
