Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Our client is a growing company looking to complement its talented team with an Electrical Commissioning Engineer. There is an immediate opportunity for a results driven problem solver and innovative thinker. Your contributions will support Canada, the Canadian Coast Guard and our client as they work to launch a new vessel into service.
Your Role:
- Conduct inspections, tests, and commission systems at the customer’s facility (North Vancouver, B.C.)
- Reference and mark-up relevant commissioning and engineering documentation
- Document commissioning outcomes and initiate actions as required
- Participate in meetings, including progress and site specific
- Achieve customer requirements and goals
- Schedule and coordinate work activities to meet objectives and deadlines
- Contribute to on-site activities
- Provide technical expertise
Qualifications and Experience:
- Electrical/electronics engineering graduate from a recognized college or university
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Onsite start-up and commissioning
- Strong customer communication skills and ability to understand needs
- Willing to take action and solve problems
- Analyze and interpret specifications
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, industrial networks and instrumentation

Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport for international travel
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$62.00 and CA$68.00
