Job Title: Compliance & Ethics Investigator

Location: Houston, TX (Remote Eligible)

Estimated Duration: 12 Months
 


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance & Ethics Investigator to support the organization’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ethical conduct, and regulatory compliance.

This role is responsible for conducting investigations into alleged misconduct, developing and implementing compliance standards and controls, and ensuring company-wide adherence to ethical policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s compliance culture and reducing risk exposure across all business functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct investigations into alleged unethical conduct, policy violations, and misconduct cases across the organization
  • Gather, analyze, and document evidence, including conducting interviews and preparing detailed investigation reports
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance standards, controls, and procedures to mitigate risk and prevent non-compliance
  • Ensure compliance policies are clearly communicated, understood, and embedded throughout the organization
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Audit, and business leadership to resolve compliance issues
  • Support the design and execution of compliance training and awareness programs
  • Track investigation trends and provide insights to strengthen governance and risk management frameworks
  • Ensure consistent application of standards across all business units

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • Experience in corporate compliance, ethics, investigations, audit, or risk management
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, ethics standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience conducting or supporting internal investigations
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop clear, fact-based conclusions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a corporate legal or compliance department
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as anti-bribery, fraud prevention, or corporate ethics programs
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in large organizations
  • Certifications such as CCEP, CRCM, or similar compliance credentials
  • Experience developing compliance policies, controls, or training programs

Work Environment

  • 100% remote eligible with occasional collaboration across business functions
  • Standard 40-hour work week
  • May require interaction with multiple internal stakeholders across legal, HR, and operations teams
  • Work involves handling sensitive and confidential information requiring discretion and professionalism

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $40.00 and $45.00
