Job Title: Transportation Business Analyst
Location: North York, ON (Onsite)
Estimated Duration: Fulltime

Job Summary:

Reporting to the appropriate business or IT leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and optimizing end-to-end supply chain, logistics, transportation, and distribution processes. This includes partnering with Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, IT, application support teams, and implementation partners to analyze business needs, document requirements, improve processes, support system enhancements, and provide operational reporting and insights.

The ideal candidate will have strong business process knowledge, analytical skills, and experience working with ERP, WMS, TMS, EDI, and transportation systems in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

· Partner with Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse, Customer Service, Procurement, and Finance teams to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities

· Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization

· Document business requirements, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications

· Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and stakeholder discussions · Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction · Analyze transportation operations, carrier performance, freight costs, and service levels

· Support transportation planning, shipment execution, freight settlement, and carrier management processes

· Identify opportunities to improve route optimization, shipment visibility, and transportation efficiency

· Assist with Transportation Management System (TMS) enhancements and implementations

· Support inventory management, order fulfillment, warehouse operations, and distribution processes

· Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy

· Assist with Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvements and process optimization

· Support cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and operational reporting initiatives

· Work closely with IT, application support, and implementation partners to deliver system enhancements

· Participate in ERP, WMS, TMS, EDI, and integration projects

· Support testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and business validation · Assist in developing training materials, user guides, and process documentation

· Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting

· Analyze transportation, inventory, service level, and supply chain performance metrics

· Provide actionable insights to business stakeholders to support decision-making
 

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field preferred · Experience in a Business Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, Transportation Analyst, Logistics Analyst, or similar role

· Strong understanding of transportation planning and execution, carrier management, freight audit and payment, order management, inventory management, warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, and customer service processes

· Experience supporting ERP, WMS, TMS, EDI, or related supply chain and transportation systems · Experience with one or more of the following systems preferred: JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Transportation Management, Blue Yonder / BlueJay, Manhattan WMS, RF-SMART, Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, and EDI platforms

· SQL experience preferred

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills

· Ability to document business requirements, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications

· Experience supporting system testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and business validation

· Ability to develop operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and business insights

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, application support teams, and external partners

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$111,000 and CA$125,000
