Job Title: Project Coordinator (Heavy Civil Contracting)
Location: Lundar, MB (Onsite)
Estimated Duration: Fulltime
Job Description:
- Support the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman with technical and administrative project tasks
- Assist in preparing RFIs, change orders, NCRs, daily reports, and other project documentation
- Maintain job diaries, site photos, and organized project files aligned with company standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project production, labour hours, and cost tracking activities
- Assist with scheduling using CPM methods (Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- Support invoicing and monthly reporting with accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards
- Participate in project meetings, inspections, and close-out processes
- Assist in developing punch lists and tracking completion of outstanding work
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, with a focus on heavy civil projects preferred
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset
- Proficiency with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, and work packages
- Experience with digital construction tools (BIM, VDC, drones) is considered an asset
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with shifting priorities
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$60,000
