Job Title: Project Manager (Heavy Civil Projects)

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Onsite)

Estimated Duration: Fulltime

Job Description:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of assigned heavy civil construction projects from start to completion
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, project owners, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Develop, update, and manage project schedules to ensure efficient planning and execution
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, including procurement, negotiations, and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, contracts, and company procedures
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate updates, risks, and solutions
  • Oversee staffing plans, workforce scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Support and enforce health and safety programs, ensuring all requirements are met and maintained
  • Track production quantities and ensure accurate reporting for financial and operational purposes
  • Manage project documentation, submittals, and approvals in accordance with company standards
  • Support handover processes and coordination between estimating and operations teams

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil projects
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is an asset
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and project documentation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of work

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$105.00 and CA$85,000
