Job Title: FLM – Work Protection
Location: Tiverton, ON (Onsite)
Estimated Duration: 7 Months
Our client, a major nuclear power generation facility in Ontario, is seeking FLMs – Work Protection to support back-to-back planned maintenance outages. Contract runs mid-to-late August 2026 through mid-March 2027 (with an expected stand-down in December).
What you'll do:
- Report daily to the section manager to receive clearance orders, permits, and the day's work scope
- Act as the primary interface with Operations to get clearance orders signed on
- Oversee clearance holders (typically 4–5 signing on under you), each responsible for crews of 2 to 15–20
- Pre-job brief clearance holders and ensure the work protection program is followed across all assigned work
- Manage sign-on/sign-off activity in Maximo throughout the shift
Schedule: Days (6:00 AM–4:00 PM) or nights (4:00 PM–12:00 AM), up to 6 days/week, 7 during peak outage execution. Day shift expected for most of the assignment.
What we're looking for:
- Prior FLM experience in a nuclear or heavy industrial maintenance environment
- Work protection qualification at an Ontario nuclear facility (refresher training available for lapsed quals)
- Maximo experience strongly preferred — candidates with Passport (the predecessor system) and willingness to requalify will be considered
- Knowledge of nuclear and conventional station systems
- Available mid-to-late August through mid-March, on-site
