Job Title: IT – Solutions Developer V
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day to day
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, business partners, QE, and architecture to deliver high-quality solutions
- Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Contribute to the development and delivery of features through 2-week sprint cycles, owning and executing assigned user stories
- Provide regular updates on progress, blockers, and outcomes to ensure team alignment and delivery success
MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:
- 10+ years of back-end development experience
- Strong backend fundamentals, such as distributed system design, API design, container orchestration, and familiarity with MVCC concepts etc.
- 5+ years of Web development experience
- 10+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript experience
- 5+ years of experience using Kafka, Postgres, and Kubernetes experience
SOFT SKILLS:
- Very strong and clear communication (written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and someone who is a self-starter and adaptable
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Familiarity with iOS and Android native development concepts, such as app lifecycle, push notifications, xcode and code signing, etc.
- Cordova/Ionic v1 (AngularJS)
- Redis
- Banking or financial institution experience
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$78.00
