Qualifications and Experience:
- University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Certification in Business Analysis and change management or equivalent a definite asset.
- 10 years of experience in IT projects Business analysis
- 10 years working on IT projects, system implementations, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading requirements activities on medium-to-large projects.
- Experience in business process engineering
- Experience developing business cases and cost-benefit analysis
- Extensive experience conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to document conceptual requirements and scope Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in writing business requirements, Scope, process engineering documentation and diagrams
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Knowledge of QA and test experience in all facets of testing (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing) a definite asset
- Knowledge of Data Analytics is a definite asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Able to plan, lead and deliver complex deliverables that provide options for decisions within the organization
Technical Capabilities:
Demonstrated expertise in the field of Business requirement gathering, business process diagrams and documentation, quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies.
Extensive Experience in Requirements elicitation and documentation, Business process analysis and improvement, Gap analysis, Stakeholder management, Workshop facilitation, Business case development, Solution assessment and validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Change impact assessment, Risk identification and mitigation, Data modeling and data mapping, Reporting and analytics tools, and technology Market Scan
Experience in MS Office tool (MS Word, Excell, Vision, Power point)
Assignment of Duties
The Sr. Business Analyst responsible for:
- Provide comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
- Interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
- Prepare and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.
- Work with the business to identify/document the business process (AS IS & TO BE) by applying business process engineering concepts
- Provide awareness and education to business on I&IT process and the value of business process engineering
- Participate in procurement and RFP development
- Lead and conduct business analysis to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
- Apply re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches
- Lead and conduct business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies Develop sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, mock-ups, etc.
- Participate in the Change management process related to the assigned project

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$95.00
