The Individual Wealth Technology team within Application Delivery is seeking a Director, Technology Delivery. This role is a match for you if you are passionate about Wealth and working with business and technology teams to innovate, define, and deliver large-scale, transformative technology solutions.
The Director, Technology Delivery is a highly experienced leader, tasked with overseeing the technology delivery of large programs / projects. In this role you will partner with business, technology and program / project managers and teams, act as a trusted advisor to internal clients by proactively building relationships and delivering on committed work. You will work closely with members of the Individual Wealth business and technology teams, with responsibility for delivery leadership that is measured by the team’s collective ability to generate positive results for our business and clients.
What you will do:
The role mandate is to successfully delivery large technology programs and projects in support of the organization’s mandate for a large Transformation.
Customer Relationship Management: Nurture relationships and collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to business areas by proactively building relationships to understand the business’ current state, short and long-term priorities, ensuring open and ongoing communication to proactively address any issues
- Partner with internal teams and preferred vendors to plan, architect and deliver on business priorities
- Ensure leaders and team members cut through siloes to work together towards common goals

- Build a strong and empowered delivery team to meet and exceed goals around delivery, while ensuring execution excellence and team engagement

Technology Delivery, Adoption, Support
- Consult with architects and business leaders on the best strategy, options, and technology roadmaps to meet client and business objectives
- Directly collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize incoming program components
- Own delivery execution of business technology projects and large work packages
- Leverage technology; share your knowledge by introducing team to enabling technologies and frameworks to better manage the environment and gain measurable efficiencies
- Ensure resources are aligned with current and future delivery needs
- Keep current on industry technology direction and best practices
What you will bring:
- A minimum of 10+ years technology delivery experience, including large program delivery
- Ability to understand and effectively work with various business lines and technology ecosystems
- Ideal candidate has experience working with Wealth businesses and systems and maintains a strong knowledge of wealth products in the Canadian market
- Experience managing through change, enabling an execution excellence culture and applying technology thought leadership to solve problems
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to inspire and drive high employee engagement
- Ability to respond to and generate urgency, create clarity thorough ambiguity, and pivot quickly when needed
- Preference and experience working in a complex environment that is rapidly evolving, with high expectations for excellence and achievement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels, technical and non-technical, within the organization
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or equivalent experience
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$150.00 and CA$170,000
