The Sr. Data Analyst / Visualization will support a strategic enterprise initiative focused on strengthening the consistency, quality, and predictability of project planning, estimating, scheduling, and performance reporting across major capital projects.

This role will help design, implement, and operationalize interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and analytics models that provide leadership and project teams with a standardized view of project performance across cost, schedule, construction execution, risk, vendor performance, and forecasting.

The ideal candidate brings strong project controls experience, advanced Power BI and reporting analytics capability, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for executive and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI dashboards and executive reporting tools for capital project performance.
  • Translate business requirements into clear KPIs, reporting logic, data models, and dashboard visuals.
  • Support the development of a standardized KPI catalogue, including definitions, formulas, thresholds, business rules, and reporting cycles.
  • Analyze complex project datasets across cost, schedule, execution, productivity, forecasting, risk, and vendor performance.
  • Support variance analysis, trend identification, and performance commentary for monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Work with project controls, estimating, scheduling, PMO, construction execution, risk, and data teams to align reporting outputs with business needs.
  • Contribute to the development of automated KPI monitoring, variance detection, and predictive or diagnostic analytics.
  • Support data-quality reviews, mapping validation, and reporting alignment across multiple project systems.
  • Build reporting views that allow drill-down into WBS, component, activity, contractor, and project-level performance.
  • Help operationalize dashboards and analytics by ensuring project teams understand how to interpret and use the reporting outputs.
  • Prepare clear executive-level presentations that tell a compelling story with data.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience implementing KPIs, dashboards, interactive reports, and executive analytics for capital projects or project controls environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, reporting analytics, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • Strong data manipulation, analysis, and modeling skills.
  • Project Controls experience, ideally with exposure to cost, schedule, forecasting, productivity, earned value, or construction execution reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to identify actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into business-facing insights.
  • Ability to tell a clear story with data through dashboards, reports, and executive presentations.
  • Critical thinker who can challenge data quality, reporting logic, and business assumptions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or supporting benchmarking frameworks.
  • Experience defining and implementing production-rate benchmarks, should-cost analysis, or should-duration analysis.
  • Exposure to process automation, solution design, operationalization, or change management.
  • Experience in industrial, asset-intensive, utility, power generation, nuclear, infrastructure, construction, or energy environments.
  • Familiarity with project systems such as EcoSys, Primavera P6, Maximo, Cleopatra, Active Risk Manager, PMIS, Power Apps, timekeeping systems, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting predictive analytics, variance detection, forecast stability, or performance trend analysis.
