Seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of test environments, including experience supporting, designing, or driving the build of test data flows. The ideal candidate will also have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with test environments, test data management, test design, and test automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years working within complex IT environments, with a focus on application development and integration.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture and design with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices, PaaS, and SaaS architectures, with experience designing cloud-native solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
• Excellent collaboration skills with experience working across multiple stakeholders, teams, and geographic locations.
• Deep understanding of test automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, and Postman, along with test environment architecture.
• Advocate for simple, iterative solutions aligned with Agile principles.
• Experience in Quality Engineering (QE) architecture or Test Architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab, Git, and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of test environment management.
• Experience working in regulated environments with privacy-safe non-production data handling.
• Familiarity with service virtualization, pipeline quality gates, and release validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and phased migration strategies for legacy platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise content search, classification, and retention within regulated environments.
• Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation platforms, and container technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Experience using enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling languages.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and continuous architecture principles.
• Experience applying value stream approaches to business solution design.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Technology Delivery team, reporting to the AVP, Technology Delivery. This role partners with portfolio, technology, and business stakeholders to design solution architectures and technology roadmaps. The successful candidate will define and maintain architecture artifacts, establish technical direction, and support project delivery, including hands-on proof-of-concept development to define end-to-end Quality Engineering (QE) architecture.

This individual will design secure, scalable, and compliant technology solutions, assess current-state implementations, and develop future-state architectures that enable seamless delivery while minimizing business disruption.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable test automation architecture supporting API, UI, batch, and integration testing.
• Define future-state test environment strategy and test data design.
• Develop future-state test data architecture while ensuring compliance with governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead proof-of-concept and pilot implementations through hands-on technical leadership.
• Design and facilitate solution architectures that optimize enterprise capabilities across business processes, technology, data, and people to support enterprise testing initiatives.
• Apply architectural standards and best practices to define infrastructure, application, and data requirements while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Maintain solution architecture in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, supporting technology roadmaps and long-term strategic planning.
• Serve as an escalation point for infrastructure and development challenges while promoting quality and consistency.
• Define infrastructure non-functional requirements using enterprise architecture standards and guiding principles.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through innovative technologies and modern architectural approaches.
• Foster a high-performance culture across architecture and engineering teams.
• Collaborate across business and technology teams to ensure solutions remain adaptable to future architectural evolution.
