SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Monthly process to do the RWA attribution run, BAU,  set of operations every day in the morning, a change management oriented, wherein we follow a quarterly cycle.  preparing the timelines, getting the index, getting everyone's approval on the prioritization of the items, setting up all the respective forums. working with other stakeholders and get the changes implemented in the production tested, validated, everything. all these things are included in the change management part,  this is something takes almost 1 1/2 to two months period.

Job Description
Job Description / Accountabilities:           
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Capital Management, the key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Leverage OSFI CAR and system knowledge to manage the issue intake process supporting production Enterprise Capital Reporting as well as associated change management.
  • Actively participate in recurring prioritization forums to review incoming tickets, communicate planned items and upcoming releases. Coordinate with wide range of stakeholders and segments.
  • Socialize the planning for, and implementation/business validation of, process and rule changes.
  • Coordinate testing of change components by upstream business segments.
  • Participate in Emergency Forums for Production incident resolution, providing advice on workaround options, hotfix requirements.
  • Work effectively with various stakeholders (including Segment Finance, Chief Accounting Group, Risk Management, and other areas within Treasury) to ensure coordination and consistent understanding of priorities and regulatory capital guidelines.
  • Own SOX processes and controls.
  • Support the ongoing review of capital interpretations to ensure appropriate application of the rules and continued compliance.
  • Maintain a good understanding both financial markets in general and the various products and strategies employed by the Bank.
  • Support governance and identification of risks related to regulatory capital reporting requirements.
  • Support regular and ad-hoc capital reporting and requirements from regulators and senior management.

 
Department Overview
Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) oversees client’s consolidated non-trading market risk, funding strategies, liquidity risk, capital position, and funds transfer pricing framework.
Enterprise Capital Management (ECM), within TBSM, manages the bank’s capital adequacy and efficiency, capital allocation methodology, subsidiary capital oversight, regulatory advocacy, internal capital adequacy assessment reporting, corporate development analysis, and consolidated regulatory capital forecasting.
This role contributes directly to bank results by supporting lineofbusiness and consolidated capital reporting.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of regulatory capital knowledge, change-management experience, analytical capability, and strong stakeholder-management skills.

  • Experience in capital reporting, credit or market risk management, treasury, analytics, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, regulatory capital concepts, accounting standards, and risk-management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of changemanagement processes and tools such as JIRA.
  • Demonstrated critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with large data sets and propose practical solutions.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting concepts, accounting standards, and risk management concepts and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly and concisely.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Must-Have Skills

  • Change-management process knowledge and experience using JIRA.
  • Experience in capital reporting and/or credit or market risk management, treasury, or analytics.
  • Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of the financial services industry.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communication.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Alteryx.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$51.00 and CA$58.00
