Job Title: Business Analyst – Intermediate

ROLE SUMMARY
Business Analyst / Product Owner responsible for bridging business needs and technical solutions, defining and prioritizing product features, gathering business requirements, and supporting Agile software delivery for transit operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct analysis of business processes, workflows and systems.
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements, user stories, use cases and functional specifications.
- Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
- Create and maintain process flows, data models and system diagrams.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
- Define, prioritize and manage the product backlog.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Translate business requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate stakeholder decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Monitor product performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Meeting Time: Agile Ceremonies / Project Based
Interaction: Business Stakeholders, Development Teams, QA Teams

MUST-HAVE HARD SKILLS
- Minimum 5–7 years of combined experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership roles.
- Demonstrated experience working within a Transit Agency.
- Proven experience on projects within the Public Sector.
- Strong understanding and experience with Bus Operations (dispatch, scheduling, fleet management, maintenance systems and real-time information systems).
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps and Confluence.
- Experience with requirements management tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and initiate own tasks. (MSP Must Have)
NICE-TO-HAVE
- CBAP.
- CSPO.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and requirements.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$69.00 and CA$79.00
