Associate Supply Chain Planner — Contract
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

About the Role
Our client, a Tier-1 rail systems and rolling stock provider delivering a large-scale transit program in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a self-motivated Associate Supply Chain Planner for a contract engagement. This is a broad role spanning administrative through strategic supply chain activity in a fast-paced project environment, ideal for someone who wants exposure across procurement, expediting, logistics, and subcontractor coordination on a major capital program.
What You'll Do
- Issue Purchase Requests for materials, external services, packages, and subcontractors to keep project delivery on schedule.
- Support internal expediting across Engineering (technical specifications, BoQ), the project team (payment milestones, schedule alignment), and Procurement (supplier quotations).
- Produce Work Progress Reports tied to subcontractor payment milestones, gather internal sign-offs, authorize subcontractor invoicing, and issue Service Entry Sheets (SES) for cost-centre release.
- Compile and monitor yearly/quarterly external project costs; report monthly variances.
- Support material delivery, including spare parts and repair of failed material, per the project plan.
- Monitor “launch of production” against subcontractor and project schedules.
- Verify and schedule Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) across subcontractors and share status through project process.
- Contribute to supply-planning documentation (logistics plans, ERP reports, client reports).
- Collect warehouse inventory reports and help coordinate activity between subcontractors and the warehouse team.
- Coordinate shipping and handover documentation with subcontractors.
- Run or support monthly subcontractor progress meetings and circulate minutes.
What You Bring
- 2–3 years' relevant supply chain, procurement, or materials-planning experience.
- Hands-on SAP or comparable ERP experience (required).
- Bachelor's degree.
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, railway, or aerospace preferred.
- Comfortable operating across administrative-to-strategic tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$40.00
