Job Title: Financial Manager V – CAD
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Summary: The main function of a Financial Manager is to supervise and direct analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. The Financial Manager would be responsible for keeping up with accounting-related policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses, that summarize and forecast the organization’s financial position.
- Prepare special reports required by regulatory authorities. Direct the organization's budgets to meet its financial goals.
- Oversee the investment of funds, manage associated risks, supervise cash management activities. Execute capital-raising strategies to support a firm’s expansion.
- Oversee the firm’s issuance of credit, establishing credit-rating criteria, determining credit ceilings, and monitoring the collections of past-due accounts.
- Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
- An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
- 10+ years’ experience
MUST-HAVE HARD SKILLS
- Extensive FP&A experience include budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Strong experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Leadership experience managing and developing finance teams, with advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
- CPA
SOFT SKILLS
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Anaplan experience.
- Experience working in large corporate or enterprise-level finance organizations.
- AI experience
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$82.00 and CA$92.00
