Job Title: Junior Endpoint Engineering Specialist

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 8 Months
 

Role Description: 
The Junior Endpoint Engineering Specialist is responsible for supporting endpoint management, software deployment, patching, compliance, and operational support activities. Working closely with senior engineers, the role helps maintain secure and reliable endpoint services while contributing to ongoing endpoint engineering initiatives.
 
Responsibilities:
Endpoint Administration

  • Support Microsoft Intune, MECM, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and related endpoint management platforms.

  • Assist with software deployments, device configuration, policy updates, and compliance monitoring.

  • Help validate changes and maintain endpoint management documentation.

 
Software Deployment, Patching & Compliance

  • Assist with software packaging, application deployments, and monthly patching activities.

  • Support vulnerability remediation and endpoint compliance efforts.

  • Investigate deployment failures and work with senior engineers to resolve issues.

 
Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support for endpoint-related incidents and service requests.

  • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365 Apps, software installation, and device management issues.

  • Escalate complex problems and assist with root cause analysis activities.

Documentation & Process Support

  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.

  • Support change management and testing activities for endpoint-related changes.

  • Document deployment results, remediation efforts, and operational processes.

Project Support

  • Participate in endpoint engineering projects and improvement initiatives.

  • Complete assigned tasks using Jira, ServiceNow, or other approved tools.

  • Collaborate with Endpoint Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk teams.

 
Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in desktop support, endpoint administration, IT operations, or a related role.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune, MECM, Windows endpoint management, and Microsoft 365 technologies.

  • Experience supporting software deployments, patching, and endpoint troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting tools is an asset.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$57.00
