Job Title: Technical Architect

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse analytics.
  • Building and supporting onelake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration solutions.
  • Implementing and supporting medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
  • Developing cloud-native applications, api’s, and integrations using Azure and .NET.
  • Creating analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Developing workflow automation solutions using Power Automate.
  • Implementing continuous implementation and continuous development pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
  • Leveraging GitHub Copilot or ai-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.
  • Collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement best practices.

Deliverables

  • Delivering production-ready data, analytics, automation, and integration solutions.
  • Delivering Fabric-based data platform components aligned with EDP architecture.
  • Delivering reusable Azure, analytics, and automation assets.
  • Delivering automated deployment and infrastructure provisioning processes.
  • Delivering high-quality technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing and delivering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse analytics, including onelake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding and practical implementation experience with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, and gold layers).
  • Strong software development experience using Python, Pyspark, C#, .NET, SQL, and modern application development practices.
  • Experience developing cloud-native solutions, api’s and integrations using Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience delivering analytics, reporting, and workflow automation solutions using Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Experience implementing continuous implementation and continuous development pipelines, source control, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using YAML, Powershell, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar ai-assisted development tools.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$100.00
