Job Title: Project Manager III

Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for developmental work for management and technical oversight of region projects. This involves working with Area Operations and Operations Tech Staff to optimize facilities which provide reliable operation and cost-effective installation.

  • Responsible for the technical oversight of maintenance capital projects and assist in the cost and budget estimating, formulating material bid specifications and providing technical assistance during construction and on-site commissioning.  
  • Capable of making sound judgments, which are reviewed, but which are usually accepted as technically accurate and feasible.
  • Identify project risks, exposures and opportunities that may impact the success of the subject projects.
  • Facilitates forums/communication channels and the issuance of reports that reflect the status and health of the assigned projects to the appropriate Management groups.
  • Interact directly with outside agencies to coordinate the development, implementation, and completion of capital projects (includes certification filings, technical responses to Agency requests and Agency project reporting).
  • Contributes to formulating strategies and making decisions regarding project execution, contractor selection, and performance.
  • Organizational skills are a necessity. Engineer needs to be capable of managing the oversight of multiple projects
  • High quality oral communication and writing skills
  • Incumbent performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in gas transmission or related field

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $70.00 and $80.00
