Job Title: OCM Lead – Enterprise Solutions
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution (Primary – ~70%)
- Lead OCM delivery for multiple small to mid-sized projects (not massive ERP-only roles, but enterprise-impacting initiatives).
- Create and rapidly produce core OCM deliverables, such as:
- Stakeholder analyses
- Change impact assessments
- Communication plans and content
- Training and engagement plans
- Go-live / rollout communications
- Maintain high activity levels: consistently move work forward, close loops, and keep stakeholders engaged.
- Advise project teams on practical, “right-sized” OCM approaches (what’s truly needed vs. over-engineered frameworks).
Stakeholder & IT Engagement
- Act as a trusted partner to IT leaders who request OCM support, helping them clarify true needs and right-size the solution.
- Work with business stakeholders on enterprise solutions impacting finance, supply chain, and other functional areas.
- Facilitate working sessions to align stakeholders on change impacts, communications, and adoption strategies.
Team Lead & Offshore Management
- Provide day-to-day direction to an offshore OCM analyst, delegating and reviewing tasks to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Coordinate work between U.S. stakeholders and offshore support to maintain seamless delivery.
- Contribute to building a scalable “change office” model that can grow to support future large-scale initiatives (e.g., ERP).
OCM Practice Improvement
- Help streamline and templateize department communications and OCM artifacts so they are more self-serve and less dependent on a small OCM team.
- Identify inefficiencies in current communications and change processes and propose practical fixes.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management, with a strong emphasis on hands-on delivery (not purely advisory/strategy roles).
- Proven experience leading OCM work for IT-enabled business change, ideally in:
- Finance and/or supply chain processes
- Enterprise or functional solutions (ERP or similar; ERP experience strongly preferred but not strictly required).
- Demonstrated “high motor”:
- History of producing a high volume of deliverables
- Comfortable operating in lean teams with limited OCM headcount
- Able to manage ambiguity and still drive outcomes
- Strong experience partnering with IT leaders and business stakeholders, with confidence to:
- Push back on unnecessary requests
- Right-size OCM support (e.g., not over-engineering for small asks).
- Experience managing or directing offshore or remote resources (analysts, coordinators, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to quickly draft clear, effective communications and give teams practical guidance.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with large ERP programs (e.g., Oracle, SAP) in any capacity (change, training, communications).
- Prior work in industrial, energy, or oil & gas environments.
- Formal OCM certifications (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP) or similar structured methodology exposure.
- Experience helping to stand up or mature a change office / OCM practice.
Personal Attributes
- Doer mindset: bias toward execution and outcomes rather than only frameworks and slideware.
- Pragmatic: knows when “good enough” is sufficient versus when more depth is needed.
- Resourceful: able to leverage tools (including AI/content tools) and templates to move faster.
- Influential: can credibly engage senior IT and business stakeholders and guide them to realistic OCM plans.
- Team-oriented: comfortable collaborating across time zones with offshore team members and internal PMs/OCM leaders.
