Drafter III – Electrical

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Drafter III – Electrical to support engineering and operations projects within the pipeline and energy infrastructure industry. This role will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining accurate technical drawings across electrical, mechanical, piping, and instrumentation disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, experience working in oil and gas or pipeline/facility environments, and the ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, engineering documentation, and as-built information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings supporting pipeline and facility projects.

  • Create and revise electrical, mechanical, piping, and instrumentation drawings.

  • Translate engineering concepts, project deliverables, and field information into accurate CAD drawings.

  • Review and incorporate field redlines, site markups, photographs, and as-built information.

  • Support Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built drawing packages.

  • Prepare and maintain P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, equipment drawings, and related documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, field personnel, and external service providers.

  • Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and drawing control.

  • Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies or incomplete information.

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

  • Ensure drawings follow applicable drafting standards and industry practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of drafting experience, preferably within oil and gas, pipeline, or industrial facilities.

  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.

  • Experience with electrical drafting and/or electrical design documentation.

  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including:

    • Electrical

    • Mechanical

    • Piping

    • Instrumentation

  • Experience creating or revising P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings.

  • Ability to interpret field redlines, site ph

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $38.00 and $41.00
